A Home For Everyone In DeKalb was the lead partner for Moral Monday at the Georgia State Capitol on February 23.  The focus was on housing cuts and voucher cuts. Executive Director Greg White offers his thoughts on the day, "I was honored to share a few words about this complex topic as I watched 50 or more community neighbors on the streets around the Capitol. I shared that our approach to emergency intervention, wraparound services, and housing depends on three areas: compassion, collaboration, and creative thinking. State Representative Omari Crawford took time to visit the group. Two of the ladies from the Oakhurst Women's Workforce Development program shared their lived experiences with legislators and the audience in attendance. This strategy was a powerful way to advocate for the most vulnerable population regarding basic needs and housing. David Lewicki, pastor at North Decatur Presbyterian Church concluded the morning with a powerful speech."

Special thanks to board members Annie Godfrey and Peter Plishka for attending.
