Tell us about yourself:

I grew up in Dunwoody and then went to UGA, where I earned an undergraduate degree in public health along with certificates in nonprofit management and leadership and global health. After graduating, I returned to Atlanta and completed a Master of Divinity at Emory University. I now live in Decatur and where I work with A Home For Everyone in DeKalb and nanny. This role brings together my passion for service, my commitment to community, and my desire to help people navigate overwhelming circumstances with dignity and support.

What motivates you to keep working?

We live in a time when it’s increasingly hard for people to find help, and the need is greater than ever. Witnessing that can be heavy, but it has deepened my commitment to caring for people - especially the most vulnerable among us. I’m motivated by the belief that everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and someone willing to show up for them. What drives me is the relational side of this work: listening, being present, and helping people navigate care. Even small interactions can make a meaningful difference, and that keeps me going.

What do you think of the job so far?

I’m really enjoying my work here at A Home For Everyone In DeKalb. I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and guiding them through the program process. While there are challenges, the team has been supportive and I am learning something everyday.

I’m grateful to be part of this organization and to contribute to work that matters so much. I’m inspired daily by the resilience of our clients and by the commitment of the volunteers and staff. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow in this role and supporting our community with compassion and necessary resources.

What goals do you have for yourself and for this job?

For myself, I want to continue growing in my ability to support clients with confidence, clarity, and compassion. For this role, my goals include ensuring that every applicant has a positive, dignifying experience with us, expanding our resources and ability to provide help, and advocating strongly for our clients and community resources. I also hope to help bring even more consistency and accessibility to the intake process. Lastly, I want to build compassionate relationships with landlords, property managers, and partner organizations, strengthening the network of support available to our community.
